You download the skins and models into your skins folder.

Caution, only add a couple at a time and use them to make sure your game is stable. It’s a pain in the neck to add 100 skin/model files only to have one of them crash your game. Searching for the bad one is no fun at all.

Wherever you downloaded them to- they need to go into the “Documents/EA Games/Sims 2/Downloads folder. If you don’t already have a folder in the Documents/EA Games/Sims 2 folder you need to make one. Just go there, Right click anywhere there in the white and choose to Make New Folder. Name it Downloads. (It must be spelled Downloads.) Where ever your Downloads are at, if they are in a different folder, just click on Edit at the top of that page, click on Select All, click on Edit again, click on Move To: and then move the downloads to Documents/EA Games/Sims 2/Downloads folder. You need the CEP (color enabler package) for the clothes to show up in the game and also need any meshes that the clothes require for the clothes to show up in the game. Here is the link for the CEP. Also be sure to “Enable Custom Content” in your game for the clothes to show up too.

    first
    google up “winrar”
install and then be a member of modthesims2
and then download and extract the files into your sims2>downloads folder using winrar.
make sure you get the mesh for certain clothes
so its like sometimes two downloads.
    and then play.

Okay, so does the package you downloaded look like a stack of books with a strap holding them together? (the icon, on top). If it does, that’s good. Okay, right click on the package and click extract here. Once you’ve clicked that, another window should pop -up telling you that the package is extracting. CUT (select all and right click, click on cut) and then go into MY documents, EA games, The Sims 2, Downloads (if you don’t have a downloads folder, just make one by right clicking then new folder. Name it DOWNLOADS) paste all the contents into that folder then start your game.

    it should come up now
    hope i helped.
